Sitting here in my chair, watching Citizen Kane, it occured to me that I could quite easily sit here and type in this thing.
Mowing the yard today reminds me of two things: 1) During the spring months, I, like my father, am allergic to just about everything that utilizes photosynthesis (as well as a few things that don’t), and 2) I have neither the strength nor weight to push a lawn mower up a hill. The depressing thing is, it isn’t even that big of a hill.
Pariah came out this week, for the Xbox. I will shortly rent it and force my friends to play through multiplayer before I buy it. In a related story, Microsoft will debut its next-gen console (360) a week from tomorrow on MTV.
Earlier today, I began monkeying about with the RSS feed-reading feature of Thunderbird. My only complaint: The Onion doesn’t support RSS. Just about everything else, I’ve got covered. If the Onion had RSS, I would read it more. Ah, but complaining accomplishes little.
I’m trudging through page six of a new story, my first attempt at the first person in years. Its plot is pretty strong, and I’m confident in its dialogue and ending. Now if I can devote enough time and energy in its direction, I might just finish it before I have to put it aside to do all the things I have scheduled for the summer.
I’m going to go do something else for a while.
